The area that surrounds Sewadham Tribal Boys Hostel is extremely backward & maximum households here are tribal farm laborers & unskilled workers. Obviously the infrastructure in the vicinity of this project is not sufficient for overall development of children, girls, youths & woman folks of the targeted groups. There is large percentage of school drop outs after primary level of education though the government has started post metric hostels for tribal youths but they are not sufficient for overall inclusive development of the natives.

Volunteers of Sewa Bharti had felt necessity of setting up of a facility for children of single parents and orphan children. In consuance with the conclusion of the survey reports ,Sewa Bharti started Sewadham in the year 2015.At present 24 children are being trained to become well educated , disciplined & skilled citizens of future of India. Sewa Bharti is looking after overall development of these children ranging from linguistic , cultural, Co-curricular, physical, mental & educational upliftment.

The students residing in Sewadham Hostel are being administered formal education in a government school nearby. Students are studying in 6th standard to 8th standard. The students are natives of Mhow,Dewas,Kannod,Khargone & Khandwa districts of Tribal dominated population of Madhya Pradesh.

Sewa Bharti is planning for enhancement in existing strength of students from 24 to 40 before commencement of next session. In order to accommodate the increased strength of students, the existing infrastructure & other facilities needs expansion qualitatively as well as quantitatively. The front office , kitchen & hostel rooms will be furnished with adequate accessories like SS platforms, Almirah, Slotted angle racks, Cabinets & Cupboard etc. in sufficient numbers.

The Sewa Bharti has planned to uplift the technological competence of the students by incorporating the facility of smart class with interactive boards and well planned educational software according to the syllabus of MP Govt. Our trained teachers will collaborate with the authorities of govt. schools & extend the facility of smart class to the students studying in all the govt. schools in the vicinity in addition to the netizens of Sewadham Tribal Hostel.

The diversified activities of Sewadham includes cutting & sewing course for empowerment of tribal girls & women folks. Currently the beneficiaries are being trained on conventional sewing machines with a little of training aids. Sewa Bharti is planning to put up sufficient furniture & accessories like cutting tables & new state of the art sewing machines. In addition to regular training , Sewa Bharti is planning for collaborative arrangement with readymade garment manufacturers of Indore as a next step for forward integration of the project for sustainable development.

We are planning for capacity enhancement of the Sewadham Tribal Boys Hostel in each & every perspective for achieving the desired goal of overall development of weakest section of the marginalized society viz. kids of single parents, orphan children, tribal girls & women. The need of this project is particularly envisaged that the area being tribal dominated, educational and vocational competency of the targeted group is found to be lowest among equals of the tribal urban population. For the above mentioned works 20 Lacs has been the budgeted estimation.
